Around 60 IBC tanks can fit on a common freight truck. However, this will depend on the size, weight, and material of the tanks as well as how big the truck is. On average, if all the IBC tanks weigh no more 34,977 litres they can fit inside a freight truck.

An IBC tank usually comes with a certification plate that tells of the size and weight limit of the tank. 

The material that the IBC tank is made of is also important to consider before putting it into a common freight truck. Plastic tends to be more lightweight compared to carbon and stainless steel IBC containers. Due to this, more plastic IBCs can usually be put into a truck at once compared to carbon and stainless steel ones. 

Contents Inside the IBC Tank

Sometimes the contents inside the IBC tank will determine how many fit inside the freight truck. If the containers hold hazardous items, fewer of them might be put into the truck to prevent dangerous situations.

Most freight trucks can hold two-high IBC tanks. This prevents the IBCs from falling but also provides plenty of room on the top and sides of the truck so the containers can be easily removed.
